Web Design: Spaceworks
Relaunching a not-for-profit social enterprise offering affordable and supportive workspaces.
Project Overview:
Founded in 1985 to support areas of Bristol with higher levels of unemployment and economic deprivation, Spaceworks’ mission still stands strong today:
– To provide access to affordable workspaces with flexible, low-risk agreements to act as a significant stimulus in creating and sustaining jobs.
Going further than just a place to work, Spaceworks provide valuable support to businesses through networking opportunities, business services and a strong community. With 7 unique locations spread throughout Bristol City Centre, Spaceworks required a new website to re-establish themselves in the community as a leading provider of affordable workspaces.
As a not-for-profit social enterprise, it was important to reflect the social values it was founded on, whilst bringing the business’ digital presence up-to-date, and transforming the user experience to increase organic enquiries.
The new website is a testament to Spaceworks core values, which we’re proud to have delivered in partnership with our friends at Rhombus Studio.

Response
The personal level of care Papaya–Studio showed at the beginning in taking the time to understand the essence of our business was the foundation in creating a final product we are very happy with. It was a daunting process when we started, but Nathan has a very structured approach and was able to break it down into manageable mini-projects. He was responsive throughout and has created a suite of 'how to' videos to help us make quick updates. The contact forms on the new website are helping to boost self-generated enquiries, which reduces our reliance on using paid services. Highly recommended.
